INTRODUCTION
BeCyclist is an educational equipment set and methodology that helps children develop
safe, confident cycling skills. Our modular system creates realistic scenarios and
structured learning experiences for schools, clubs, and municipalities.
The program was developed under the professional leadership of Judit Kovács,
multiple-time youth Hungarian national champion in cycling. She holds a BSc in Sports
Management and a BA as a Physical Trainer specialized in youth Cycling, combining
academic expertise with years of practical coaching experience. This strong foundation
makes her a committed advocate for the education of the next generation of cyclists.
In her work with children, she has often observed the unique and thrilling process of
parents anxiously watching their child’s very first cycling training session. Each time,
the level of worry and lack of trust steadily diminish in direct proportion to the young
athletes’ daily improvement. After a year, parents almost naturally trust that their
children can confidently manage even the most difficult and complex cycling situations
in both training and competitive environments—allowing them to ride in everyday traffic
without hesitation. This realization was successfully explored and documented in her
BSc thesis, which laid the foundation for BeCyclist.
